When you think the humanization trend in the dog food world is at it’s top you’ll be surprised again. First we had special beer for dogs and now the American company Bark Vineyards produces wine for dogs.

This drink for posh dogs is not cheap but it does come in a bottle that looks just like a regular bottle of wine for humans. The same goes for it’s price! Names are different though as your dog can choose between Barkundy and White Sniff-n-Tail any many more.

Just like the beer for dogs, the doggy style wine drink does not contain any alcohol. So in case you want a furry drinking buddy, you are the only one that gets drunk.

Now let’s get serious. What is this humanization trend all about? The drink is intended to compliment dry kibbles to lift up the flavors and provide it with a delicious bouquet. So it’s just another treat since the dog food of your choice should be palatable to your dog without any flavor enhancers.

Just have a look at the ingredient list of the Sauvignon Bark: Water, dehydrated chicken broth, potato flakes, dehydrated carrot, lactic acid, xanthan gum, dehydrated parsley, garlic powder, dehydrated oregano.

And they dare call this wine?

A 750 ml bottle of Sauvignon Bark costs 19,99 US dollars (about 15 Euro). One would expect a fine wine for that kind of money.
